Hurk Tradden (charlz)
A battle-hardened half-orc Paladin of Vengeance, Hurk Tradden survived a decade of bloodshed in Waterdeep’s Arenas of Blood after being betrayed by the Xanathar on a job gone wrong. He prayed to any god who would listen to help him find his Vengeance, and he was forced to endure a decade of battle to earn his freedom as the undefeated champion. His worship of Hoar, god of poetic justice, is less about faith and more about delivering karma with his own two fists, or his sword, depending on the situation. Though stoic and pragmatic, Hurk has a charismatic presence that makes him both a natural leader and negotiator, the “Dad” of the group who often has to reign in Tzar’s schemes and Bigfoot’s mischief. Despite his gruff exterior, Hurk has a soft spot for the ladies, especially the fierce Yagra Stonefist, and secretly worries he’ll never impress her. Whether securing deals with a warrior’s handshake or rolling his eyes at his party’s latest absurdity, Hurk is the rock that keeps the Xanathar’s Bane together.

Mako Tsunami (Cade)
A naive but enthusiastic Locathah (goldfish-type) fisherman, Mako escaped the clutches of deep sea diving slavers by forming a Fathomless Warlock pact when he heard the ocean’s voice come from a driftwood dice necklace he found in a sunken ship. Drawing power from both the ancient Pharaoh of the Sea, Nami, and the wrathful goddess Umberlee, Mako finds himself torn between their influences, one promising wisdom and guidance, the other tempting him with the location of his lost people. His natural curiosity and optimism make him the party’s heart, but his reckless enthusiasm and naivete of Landlubbers often get him in deep trouble. Whether navigating treacherous currents or making fish-related puns at the worst possible times, Mako is always ready to dive headfirst into adventure, sometimes literally.

Tzarafar “Tzar” (SCOTT)
A sardonic, snarky, and streetwise Kobold, Tzarafar is a former Shovelball athlete turned rogue trickster who dreams of proving himself in a world that sees Kobolds as expendable lackeys. Forced into a thankless janitorial job in Waterdeep’s sewers for the Dungsweepers Guild, he now uses his natural athleticism, magic, and sleight of hand to carve out a new identity beyond the criminal underworld he’s trying to escape, silent quitting from the nefarious and cult-like Xanathar Guild. Tzar has a chip on his shoulder the size of a dragon’s hoard, and while he lacks bravery, he makes up for it with wit, deception, and absurd confidence. He may be small, but he’s got big dreams, and if you tell him he can’t do something, he’ll probably try anyway (then blame Hurk or Mako when it backfires).

Bigfoot Lebowski (Ian)
A gentle giant from the Lost Peaks of the High Forest, Bigfoot is an easygoing Firbolg druid-barbarian who prefers the company of nature and moonlit walks into the fey realms to the noise of city life. Though often laid-back and quiet, he has a wild side, one that Tzar frequently encourages, leading to mayhem wherever they go. He literally embodies the concept of “speak softly but carry a big stick”. Beneath his chill demeanor, however, lies a fearsome warrior; when pushed to his limits, Bigfoot taps into his barbaric rage, becoming a primal force of nature. He prefers harmony over violence, but when battle is inevitable, he is devastating with his flaming Battle Axes or his Yule Log. His urban disguise as “The Dude” (a pink bathrobe-wearing Waterdhavian “human”) is as ridiculous as it is effective. He has followed the River Dessarin in hopes to find his impish friend, the Nain Rouge, who never returned from his trip to Waterdeep.
